Microproject Fund
The Microproject Investment Fund is financial assistance in the form of loans for small businesses (fewer than 200 employees), aimed at helping them create or maintain long-term jobs in the community.
The SADC can invest between $500 and $5,000 in a single business. The assistance provided to businesses can be used to finance working capital, inventory, equipment, land, buildings, as well as startup costs.
Eligible businesses
Sole proprietorship, corporation (Inc.), general partnership (GP), cooperative, and non-profit organization (NPO). However, NPOs must demonstrate economic impact in terms of benefits and job creation.
Exception
Businesses of a religious, sexual, or political nature are not eligible. Additionally, based on market analysis, startup trucking companies and restaurants are not eligible.
