OSEntreprendre Challenge Nord-du-Québec

Chapais, April 29, 2025 – This evening marked the 27th Gala of the OSEntreprendre Challenge for Nord-du-Québec, celebrating students—supported by their school staff—along with inspiring entrepreneurs who took action. There’s no doubt that the Nord-du-Québec region can be proud!

The regional honorary president of this 27th edition of the OSEntreprendre Challenge for Nord-du-Québec, Mr. David Ménard of Men & Fils Électrique, said he was truly inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of the winners.

Mr. Ménard made a point of emphasizing the importance of believing in oneself and pursuing one’s dreams. According to him, the OSEntreprendre Challenge is the perfect springboard to showcase the great things happening in the region! Having overcome countless challenges over time, he firmly believes that believing in your dreams, trusting in your potential, and never giving up are key to overcoming obstacles and achieving success.

During the evening, 24 prizes totaling $31,150 were awarded to the winners — inspiring individuals whose applications stood out among all those submitted.

A Winning Partnership If the OSEntreprendre Challenge in Nord-du-Québec, led by the Chibougamau-Chapais Community Futures Development Corporation (SADC), has become a key driver of entrepreneurial spirit on the ground, it is thanks to the close collaboration between the educational and business communities, along with the many contributors and partners!

About the OSEntreprendre Challenge OSEntreprendre’s main activity, the OSEntreprendre Challenge, is a major Quebec-wide movement that annually highlights the entrepreneurial initiatives of tens of thousands of individuals.

From preschool to vocational training students through its School component, to college and university youth through its Student component, to startup entrepreneurs through its Business Creation component, to entrepreneurs with inspiring journeys through its Success Inc. component, and to local business-to-business procurement models through its Doing Business Together component.

The OSEntreprendre Challenge is deployed and rooted at the local, regional, and national levels thanks to more than 300 local coordinators mobilized across Quebec’s 17 regions to showcase projects from their communities.
